We were called out to a local garage where they had a VW T5 van and the ignition key would not turn. It was because the ignition lock wasdamaged internally and required a replacement ignition barrel.
It is a common problem, the ignition will not turn on VAG cars and vans.
VAG are quite expensive when they undertake this job, they will also give you a 2-3 turn around if you want the new lock to fit your old key. The alternative is an even more expensive replacement of all the vehicles locks, again, this takes time.

We are able to supply and fit, or supply only a replacement VAG ignition barrel keyed to your existing keys, so you do not need to change all the locks on your vehicle.

Keys locked in the boot

The owners of this Audi locked the keys in the boot. They broke the window to open the car.
They did not know that the car was deadlocked and could only be opened with a key or with the original key fob.

After trying for hours to get in the car, they called us and we opened the car in a few minutes.
If only they had called us first and then they would not have had to get a new side window.

Today was Imogen-Diamond’s birthday, so to celebrate, she locked her Mum out of the car and locked herself in!

Mum was upset and called her husband, who then called us.
Ged the Locksmith was only a mile away when Dad called so Ged was there within five minutes, two minutes after that, the car was open and Baby Imogen – Diamond was safely back in her Mums arms.
Mum was overjoyed and even happier when we told her that we DO NOT CHARGE for rescuing kids from cars in the Ellesmere Port and Chester area…

On Sunday we were called out to a Volkswagen Lupo.
We were recommended by a previous customer  after the owner had taken his car to a VW show and
a stall holder tried to update the shell of his key. Unfortunately the transponder got broke as it was being swapped from the old case. The car was towed back to Chester and we got him going again with a new transponder, programmed with our latest high tech equipment.

While attending a replacement car key job yesterday, the customers front door blew shut and locked them out of the house. Luckily our auto locksmiths are trained in property entry and so our car locksmith was able to quickly unlock the front door and let the customer back into their home. We did not charge extra for this service as we were already there and it only took a minute to pick the front door lock. The customer was more than happy with our service.
